After a successful handover to Fleen, I am busily creating my woodwork space and going to refresher classes. Watch this space for new work and my new website in the making!

I would like to announce that the handover of my porcelain tableware range to Fleen went very smoothly. You can now see and purchase the full range at Fleen’s new website www.fleendoran.com

Fleen will continue to work at Bankside studio in Ledbury, making and developing the porcelain range and running pottery workshops.

Many of you will have heard about my exciting new venture; I have been busy setting up a wood workshop at Bankside Studios. I am looking forward to producing musical instruments and wooden accessories for my one off porcelain pieces. Watch this space; I will be sharing images of my new work very soon!

In the mean time you can still view a selection of the porcelain range on my website, but to see the full range, make purchases and enquiries please visit www.fleendoran.com

Espresso cups, in the making

A new addition for the new year, espresso cups!

If my maths is correct then once fired these will be just the right size for popping under your coffee machine.

Clay carefully weighed out and balled up, thrown on the wheel to the perfect size using calipers to check dimensions, bases turned, handles attached and of course the ‘h’ stamp, all in a days work.

Once these are dry they will be bisque fired to 1000 degrees and then glazed…look out for these in a couple of weeks coffee lovers!
